What are you seeing outside your window today? Amos looked out one day and saw God standing there next to a freshly built wall, holding a plumb-line.
Do you know what a plumb-line is? What if God was outside your window holding one of those things? It’s an interesting vision coming to us on the Sunday after celebrating the birth of our nation.
Amos was a farmer/prophet from Judah (the southern part of the promised land ruled by David’s descendents after a civil war that divided north from south) who was speaking in the north’s capital city to the Chief Priest of Bethel’s Temple.
What could what’s going on outside Amos’ window almost 2000 years ago have to do with us today? I think you might be surprised by our progess. Come and see this Sunday morning at 8:30 & 10:30.
